The amazing true story that unveils the danger posed to foreigners living in the Philippines. Englishman Albert Wilson thought he was in a tropical paradise with a Philippine lady who was a live-in partner, but she had a 12 year-old daughter by a local Filipino. The nightmare of three years in prison, one of which was spent in hellhole of death row was caused by the child, actively encouraged and guided by her natural father, to extort money by accusing the man of rape. After sentencing, the case was brought to the attention of Earl Wilkinson, a retired Australian businessman, who spent a year of his life fighting to prove Wilson’s innocence. This drama reinforces the argument against
the death penalty as well as warning other countries that laws |

EARL K. WILKINSON was born in Sydney, Australia. His medical studies in London University were interrupted by the outbreak of war causing him to return home and enter the stock exchange. A successful career was crowned by his instigation of the “Second Market” in Australia, a scheme that was to be adopted by many other countries, including the United States. Unlike many in the financial world, Earl Wilkinson is also an adventurer, a noted big-game fisherman as well as hunter. Even today, in his sunset years, his ideas of holidays have ranged from visiting the North Pole, flying in a Russian MIG fighter jet, and chasing whales in a submarine. This is his fourth book, all of which are non-fiction. |
